A new partnership between Hamilton based Convex and Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari is being celebrated with Convex planting 100 kowhai trees around the Tari Road Visitor Centre on Friday, 3 July.
Around 20 team members from Convex will be heading to Maungatautari to plant up around the visitor centres new carpark, the area will be called “kowhai grove”. Kowhai were chosen to attract the abundance of tui that already congregate within the haven of Maungatautari’s fenced off sanctuary.
“It is exciting to have a local business successful in their sustainable practices, it aligns well with our own values in restoring our sanctuary” says CEO of Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari Phil Lyons.
