Tourism and education have grown, with record visitor numbers, new tours, and on-site accommodation generating fresh income. Cultural connections deepened, and community outreach expanded to vulnerable groups. Despite resource constraints and predator challenges, our team delivered world-class conservation outcomes.
Looking ahead, we're planning bold initiatives: enhanced visitor experiences, corporate offerings, and a reimagined Visitor Centre. Our vision is clear - to make the maunga sing. This is guided by five pillars: economic resilience, operational excellence, thriving biodiversity, productive partnerships, and inspired people. With community support and innovative funding, we're building a future where Maungatautari remains a sanctuary for generations to come.
