Meditation on the Maunga - Spring Equinox edition
10 October 2020

Experience the peace and tranquility of meditation in New Zealand native bush. The birdsong and gentle sounds of nature are an idea setting to focus and reflect on 'inner experiences'.

During your day on the mountain, we will encourage you to develop an attuned approach to your meditation and to your on-going experience.

Guidance will be offered by Elizabeth Day and Willa Thaniya Reid of Kihikihi Meditation & Yoga, they will guide you through sessions of walking and sitting meditation. You will be encouraged to practise in silence. This allows a deepening of your ability to notice and reflect on ‘inner’ experiences, and to attune to all the maunga offers.

Schedule:
9.30am – Registration
10am – Meditation practice will begin
12.30pm – A simple vegetarian lunch provided in the Visitor Centre
1pm – Meditation practice will resume
4pm – Farewells

$49 per person. Book your place here.

Any level of experience is welcome – whether you are new or experienced. Numbers are limited. Make sure you bring a cushion you’re comfortable carrying, warm clothing and a blanket, to keep you warm.

All proceeds of this event go towards conserving Maungatautari's flora and fauna.
