Kiwi Health Check

This chance does not come up often. On Friday 20th July get up close and personal with a New Zealand icon during a kiwi health check here at Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari. During this special encounter, you will get to know all about the Western North Island Brown kiwi as you take part in a regular checkup, with the opportunity to meet one of these iconic birds.

Book online via the wesbite or phone Manu Tioriori Visitor Centre between 8.30am and 4pm. 

Limited spaces are available and some Terms and Conditions do apply.

MEIT reserves the right to cancel or postpone a Kiwi Health Check if there are adverse weather conditions or the kiwi becomes too distressed during the health check.  Kiwi Health Check participants must obey the instructions of MEIT staff at all times.  By booking space/s on a Kiwi Health Check you are agreeing to abide by these terms and conditions.
