Finalist at 2018 New Zealand Biosecurity Awards

Last 12 November 2018, Sanctuary Mountain Chief Executive Phil Lyons and Sanctuary Manager Geoff Churchill attended an awards gala evening for the Ministry for Primary Industries' New Zealand Biosecurity Awards.

Sanctuary Mountain is a finalist for the Department of Conservation Community Award.

While Sanctuary Mountain did not win the award, being a finalist is already a massive win: it is a testament to the conservation efforts successfully enhancing and protecting the flora and fauna in Maungatautari. We wish to congratulate Pirongia Te Aroaro o Kahu Restoration Society for winning the award.
