Our address is 99 Tari Road, Pukeatua 3450.
We suggest using your GPS or Google maps to find our visitor centre.
Manu Tioriori visitor centre is open from 9.00am to 4:00pm daily. Closed 25th December.
The forest provides dense cover, which can mean on warm days it will still be colder inside the forest. Bringing layered clothing is advisable.
Tracks are well-maintained, though it is still a mountain with steep, uneven surfaces. Sturdy, covered footwear is advised. The tracks suit those with a reasonable fitness level.
There are bioloos and bathroom facilities in and around the Visitor Centre. There is also a bioloo situated in southern enclosure near the Events Centre.
There are no bathroom facilities in the Main Enclosure.
The northern enclosure located at Hicks Road is NOT able to be accessed by public. There are access issues between the private landowners and Waipa District Council.
Until the issues are resolved, Council advise all visitors to use the Tari Road entrance. If you are using Wairere Traverse you will need to return to Tari Road for access off the Mountain.
Council is disappointed at this situation and is working hard to restore public access as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.
For enquiries, please contact the Council at 0800 924 723.
