regular guided tours

See below for information about our regular guided tours which run Tuesday through to Sunday.  All tours must be booked 24 hours in advance to ensure we have our Guides available for your visit.  Please call the Visitror Centre if your booking enquiry is within this timeframe - 07 870 5180.  If you would like to visit on a particular date, choose the date or date range on the calendar on the left, and the page will show all the tours available on that date.

If you have special interests or would like a very detailed insight into some area of our project, we can arrange a customised guided tour with a specialist guide who has in-depth knowledge of your area of interest. Contact us to find out more about our customised and special interest tours.

Kiwi Health Check Waiting List - please send us an email if you'd like to be notified about future Kiwi Health Checks.

Our regular tours have limited numbers to ensure visitors receive personal attention and have the opportunity to ask questions. We can cater for larger groups too with customised guided tours. Find out more about group tours.

Top Tips

“Just through the entrance to the Southern Enclosure there’s a large tree on the right hand side with a hollow trunk. Turn on the flash on your camera and take a photo up inside the trunk. You may be lucky to snap some posing wetas!”  - John, visitor
